The Tuesday
table

Pathfinder 2e is the long game — the last party ran from first level to twentieth. Season of Ghosts is the campaign running now, and this section is the table's reference shelf.

What Foundry actually is#

Foundry VTT is a virtual tabletop — the map, the minis, the dice and the character sheets, all on a screen the whole group shares. It replaces the furniture, not the game.

It is a shared game board

A map goes up, everyone gets a token to move around it, and the table all sees the same thing at once. Lighting and fog come with it, so your token only sees what it could actually see from where it is standing.

The dice are built in

Click the attack on your sheet and Foundry rolls it, adds every modifier, and posts the result to the room. Nobody does arithmetic and nobody loses a d20 under the couch.

Your character lives on the server

The sheet is not in your bag. It tracks hit points, conditions, spells and loot between sessions, and it is waiting for you whichever computer you sit down at.

It knows the rules

A system module teaches Foundry the actual game — three actions, degrees of success, conditions, persistent damage — so the table can spend the night on the story instead of the maths.

Read these three first

Before your first session#

Short pages, and the only ones you have to read before you build anything. Everything else is reference you come back to.

Playing, finished, and on the shelf

The campaigns#

One page each, with the party roster and — where the log is written up — what has actually happened in the story.

Answered before you ask

How this table runs#

Four things that are true whichever campaign you are sitting in.

There is nothing to install

Foundry runs in the browser. Open the link, pick your name off the list, and you are at the table — no client, no account, no download. Foundry is bought once by whoever runs the server, and this one is already bought and already running.

Both systems play the same

Starfinder 2e is built on the Pathfinder 2e chassis. Three actions, the same degrees of success, the same maths. Learn one and you have learned both.

The rules are free online

Archives of Nethys has every Pathfinder rule and Starfinder Nethys has every Starfinder one, both official and both free. Nobody at this table needs to buy a book.

Two gates, and only two

Uncommon and rare options need a yes first, and a Lore skill needs one sentence saying what it covers. Everything common is yours without asking.
