How to join#
The server is closed, so none of this connects to anything now. It is on record because it is how the setup worked.
Install the pack
Download the Twitch client — now the CurseForge app — and install MC Eternal. Click the cog on the modpack page to edit the memory settings and raise it to the maximum you have. It defaults to 2–4 GB, which is not enough.
Use the hostname
In the server list, enter `eternal.xkillerbees.com`. Do not use the IP — it changed whenever the box needed work, which is the whole reason for the name.
Server status
The old status banner is still linked, and now reports nothing. The server is closed.
What the pack actually was
The pitch#
Eight months and counting of handcrafting, in the author's own words.
Tons of thrilling™ Adventures, Magic, Science, Quests, Combat, Bosses, Automation, Exploration, and Rats who shoot cheese from cannons??
I've spent the last 8 months and counting, handcrafting a fun and fresh new modded experience. There is plenty to discover in all aspects of Eternal and there are plenty of unique twists to keep you engaged. MCE uses basic crafting recipes. I realized blending the fun parts from the likes of modded skyblock (quests, shop, etc along with RPG elements) in a kitchen sink pack that's not too complicated turns out is super enjoyable for all types of players (especially with friends! :D) Get rewarded for doing whatever you feel like doing with the expansive optional questing system!
There is a huge emphasis on using not so known mods that I deemed to be severely underrated, especially in the Adventuring aspect of the pack.
Collect a million dirt, or survive thirty hours
The challenges#
Featuring questing chapters such as "Challenges", full of weird and wacky objectives.
Collect 1 million dirt
One of the Challenges chapter's objectives, and exactly as reasonable as it sounds.
Battle every boss in the game
Another. The pack has a lot of bosses.
Build a Jaffa factory
A third, and a reference older than most of the mods in the pack.
Survive 30 hours without dying
The author's personal favourite. Over 30 more challenges are in game, with difficulty and rewards varying.
